These clients reached out to us needing a kitchen remodel - fortunately, they had been wanting to update their kitchen, but unfortunately they needed it done ASAP due to an ice maker that decided to leak and destroy their floors and cabinets while they were out of town. They previously had wallpaper in their kitchen, so I knew they would up for a fun wallpaper again. Their home is very traditional and classic, filled with antique treasures they’ve collected on their trips to the mountains in North Carolina. We decided to go bold in the kitchen with blue cabinetry and the marble checkered floor, which carries into the foyer and the laundry room we also remodeled. We used timeless finishes with the unlacquered brass and marble countertops. The result is a kitchen that honors the home’s traditional roots while injecting personality through pattern, color, and thoughtful details—turning what began as an emergency into one of the most character-filled rooms in the house.
