Once a boat house, this family’s beach house had been transformed and added onto over many years of being passed down through the generations. Our clients made improvements to it together over the years, but they decided it was time to make it a more comfortable retreat by the coast. We enclosed several screened-in sleeping porches, converting them to bedrooms to host their children and grandchildren. We expanded their living space by enclosing part of the screened porch and opening it up to their kitchen. My favorite piece in the home just might be the bathroom vanity that was made using a large sink that was once outside for cleaning fish. We hope through remodeling this home, we preserved the stories and many memories they have from over the years, while also giving the house new life for the generations still to come.
